During this lesson, the learner will handle the special challenges during landing in high winds.

Content
- Selecting appropriate approach speed
- Note that downwind leg the ground speed is higher
- Note that on final the ground speed will be very low
- Knowledge of wind gradient on short final
- Getting out of the glider in high winds
Completion Standard
The learner will fly the pattern in a high wind maintaining the specified airspeed and perform a smooth landing touching down within a deisgnated landing area.
